These are the original manufacturer’s filter so they fit perfectly. Not much more to say about that. As far as the performance of the filters…if these are exactly like the original that came with the air purifier then I expect them to work just as well. It’s does a really good job of filtering the air. Not cheap but not expensive either. Seems to be around the same price as other filters of this type.

We have two dogs in the household and everyone has seasonal allergies. Keeping the quality of the indoor air clean is very important to us. This filter helps us do just that. Our air is clean (as I can confirm by an air quality meter) and it's always fresh. I've had this on subscribe and save for a very long time now and intend to keep buying this.

This seems to put out a lot of mist, but doesn't put any moisture in the room. It works like a diffuser instead of a humidifier. But, the place you can put essential oil doesn’t work like my diffuser-at all. The worst part is the white powder it leaves everywhere in the house. I really didn't believe the reviews that it could be that bad. It is! I use it in my bedroom, and all the surfaces in the house, a 3 bedroom ranch, have a fine layer of white dust. So, I purchased a filter for $11.77 (which includes subscribe and save.) because the site said if I had a problem, the filter would help. Doesn't help one bit. I have mild COPD and inhaling this powder can’t be good for me. It’s too late to send it back. I’m updating because nothing I do can stop this from creating the white dust. Besides the filter I purchased separately, I bought the the aqua sticks for $9.99. Didn’t help one bit. When I used the distilled water it helped some, but that would cost another $2.00 a day more. This is no help whatsoever. So, this goes in the trash. I won’t even sell it in a garage sale. I attached a picture I took the day after I dusted the house.

I've ordered these genuine replacement filters twice. The filter on the left is one that I ordered in 2021. The filter on the right is one that I ordered in 2022. Same brand. The new ones are so thin that it almost guarantees the more expensive HEPA filter portion is going to wear out much sooner. These will not function well as a pre-filter. Garbage!

This product is not loud, actually has a smoothing white noise effect.

We just received this today . It has been running on high for a few hours now and we can already tell a big difference in the air in our home! Just turned it down to medium speed and will run on low at night . Will be ordering more for bedrooms soon ! Only thing is there was NO Instruction Manual in the box so not sure if it comes with one or ours was just missing ? ?

For those of you who have been using Germ Guardian products for 5 years or more, you know that as soon as Lasko bought the company a few years back, the quality of these filters is nothing like they used to be. The quality is now actually horrible compared to what it used to be when it was produced by the original germ guardian owners. The picture I attached shows proof of that with the carbon filters. The one on the left was what we used to get with the original germ guardian filters. The one on the right is what you get now with Lasko (new owners of Germ Guardian). When I used to get the replacement germ guardian filters, almost immediately after putting the new filter in, I could tell the difference in the amazingly fresh and clean air coming out of the filter. Now, since using the Lasko filters (that they call germ guardian), I do not get that experience at all. In fact, I wake up every morning with a congested nose, which I never had with the real germ guardian filters. It’s such a shame that a company like Lasko would buy an amazing company like germ guardian, and change the product so dramatically that it’s nothing like it used to be. I’m not sharing this to do any damage to the Lasko name. Rather, just hoping that if somebody is considering buying this filter or air purifier, that this helps them in that decision making process. Unfortunately, the majority of the reviews on germguardianoutlet.com are from when it was the original germ guardian product prior to Lasko changing it. Those who review it now and give it give it good reviews don’t have the benefit of the original, real germ, guardian product, to know the difference. It was far superior to the Lasko product. I am now forced to try to find another manufacturer that creates better quality filters to use in my original germ guardian purifier. I will definitely not purchase any more Lasko products given what I saw and experienced them do to the far superior germ guardian product after buying the company. I ordered this to rid my apartment from cigarette and weed smoke from my neighbors. It also removes viruses in the air.

We purchased this unit in early 2020, and it was a great unit for us (albeit a little loud) sucking up all the cat hair and various allergy causing dust particles in the air, until it suddenly died a few days ago. I came to look at reviews to see if others experienced the same issue, and it looks to be a common issue, especially after changing the filter. We had also just changed the filter a few days earlier. I was lucky enough to stumble upon a super helpful review about reseating the front panel because of the safety mechanism. I found the safety mechanism: a long black button on the bottom of the left side of where the filter is installed and two magnets that hold the front cover in the place. If you install the filter and it happens not to be tight enough to keep the black button depressed, the unit may turn on and off or just off altogether. It looks like unit is completely dead, instead of telling you that there is a filter installation issue. I took a piece of thick paper, folded it up, pushed it over the button, and then reinstalled the filter. As soon as I re-engaged the cover, it played the chimes, and I knew it was working again. It’s been working fine since. This definitely seems like a design issue. Just happy to have found a solution. I hope this is helpful to others whose unit complexly died on them.

Great filters for a great air purifier. However the picture makes it seem like you get 2 for $15-$20 which would have been a great price. Actually you get only 1. The picture is misleading, so taking off 1 star.

It is so thin that you can see right through it! I bought this because it was name brand and supposed to be good. Wrong! This one is on the right side of the picture. I will not buy the name-brand ones again and stick to the cheaper, thicker, and better filters like the one on the left!

Fine device. Greater even. But who on earth put the intake on the rear?!? If it's placed right way around your taking air from behind- next to the wall And filtering it... why didn't you design it to take air from infront and out the sides/top DUH

Easy to install and works perfectly. I will buy again when needed.

UPDATE: PureGuardian replaced free of charge and it wasn’t a hassle. New humidifier has been working well. UPDATE: It broke already! The button completely broke off after normal pressing of it. ——- I had been struggling with mold build up with my Crane teardrop humidifier despite cleaning it regularly, and the Crane was a pain to clean because of the design. I decided to try this because of the silver clean technology, and I have found that it does indeed help prevent mold build up. It is also much easier to clean than the Crane. I use tap water in the tank. I do preventative cleaning monthly by shaking a few tablespoons of white vinegar into the tank and letting it soak for about an hour, then using the little brush supplied to clean around the base. So far, no mold! I have been using this in my bedroom daily with no operating issues.

I've used the GermGuardian air purifiers since 2017. I've found it to be a dependable and effective product. So when I saw this model I knew I had to try it. I put it in my bedroom and it's so quiet. It also tells me how clean the air is. With COPD, clean air is important to me so that's reassuring. There is a light but it isn't very bright so it's not intrusive and can be turned away from the bed if bothersome. I highly recommend it.
