What can I say? It works! Filter on left is new. Filter on right is a few months dust while living in the dusty AZ desert.

I’ve been “cheating” to extend the life of my filter by regularly vacuuming it out. On the lower settings, 3 and lower, it is very, very quiet. It’s not “loud” per se on 4 and 5 but certainly noticeable, ppl that would like white noise to sleep by I think would like it. At first I thought my breathing was easier, but that may be a placebo effect, but I’m not discounting it at all.. I’m hoping the UV lamp and filter are removing “gak” from the air. I got this filter to help preserve my mini-split AC unit from getting so dirty from my German Shepherd’s dander and dirt he brings in as the squirrel cage fan gets really dirty since they run 24/7 on the AC settings. I think this unit is worth the price.

Lately, it occassionally stops working and I’ve had to take all the water out let it dry and then it works again. Maybe I’m leaving it on too long and should give it a rest more. On the whole I’m glad I bought this unit because it keeps my living room (15x15) at a comfortable level of humidity during the winter. I would buy from this company again. Note my water is good so no cleaning issues.

GermGuardian GG3000BCA UV Air Sanitizer and Deodorizer I have been told for years to try something like this in our home. We have several people with allergies and asthma including myself that they are still trying to figure out. Have used a similar type product in dd's room to help her. Now with this product I can pretty much put it anyplace that we need to. It stands about 11 inches tall. It has nice sleek shape to it. Easy set up. Just plug it in to wall outlet not extension cord and select fan speed with a push of the button. The brighter the light the higher the fan speed. Even on high the fan is not overly loud. It uses UV-C light technology which I like since it kills the germs without chemicals. The fan moves the air though it and that is where the germs are then exposed to the UV-C light. The air that flows back out of the machine is clean air. To mazimize your results with this do not use when windows are open. Also I would not place on carpet since the air is going through the bottom and comes out the top. Needs to have good clear air flow on the bottom of the unit. On day one I tried this out in a small bedroom. Left it in there all day long on a table. Windows and door shut. Oh my how much nicer it was to walk in later that night. I was a little surprised. This was a teens bedroom that I have tried so many things to help the not so fresh air in there. The size of this unit is so useful. Most days it is on a table next to me for heath reasons and it is making nights so much easier to breathe. If I need to though I can bring it to the kitchen when working with not so pleasant smells like fish. So far it has worked more than I ever thought it would. Another reason I like this size is often when traveling even though the hotel is non-smoking there are times that I end up near that back door where you get the smoke from people going out there to light up. Cigarette smoke is a huge trigger for me and I have such a hard time even being around someone that was smoking 5 min ago. This unit will make traveling so much nicer for me now. Good thing to since I have to take a trip next week. Overall this unit has done with with every test I have thrown at it. For myself it is a good thing to have to help us breathe better in our home.

It put out a great deal of mist, but slowly deteriorated over time. I kept it clean too. I didn't use this regularly, but it got intermittent within a year of pirchasing and quit altogether months ago. Junk

As you can see in the photos, the UV is utterly useless. It is contained in a compartment above the intake filter and uv rays AR blocked from cleansing that filter. Complete garbage. As far as the rest of the product goes, it does have a nice tight seal between the main unit and the filter, which means that it is actually drawing air through the filter as opposed to around it. Mine just died out of the blue so I took it apart and found that the fuse was popped. It's soldered to the board and therefor not replaceable by the average person. I would say that given what I know now, I won't be buying another unless the price drops drastically.

You guys I was about to pay the usual 60$ plus to get my new filter when I say these on Here. 17$ and I was so skeptical at first trust me. BUT ITS THE SAME FILTER and I subscribed. Takes dust out the air, purifies my home and makes the smell so much better without the dust flying around, literally the same product you guys, talk about price gouging when the quality is the same for 17$ common sense folks

We got this during the recent Purpleair smoke event from the Canadian Wildfires, which came down & blanketed my city. I went outside the first day not knowing anything was going on & it smelled like a building was on fire We have this small Germ Guardian air purifier, is germ guardian one word? Probably anyway we've had it on/off for the last year or more. Needling to change filters due to the poor air quality & the fact the old filter was likely useless, we got this. It's not like this is a $500 air purifier to begin with so i wasn't expecting a new filter to change that but it works well enough for what it is.

I replace this outer filter every three months on a GermGuardian AC3000W. It attaches to a Velcro strip on the inner filter (replaced every 6 months). This outer filter catches a lot of dust and bugs. I live on a farm so we have a lot of both of those.

It's help clean the air it great quality

My main dislike is the noise level on this product. The lowest setting is still pretty loud compared to my other two air purifiers. The only reason I went with this specific one was because it was blue and had a nightlight that my daughter would appreciate. It was priced fairly as I seen it for double at other retailers. However given the noise I would not recommend. I am also not convinced the UV does anything.

I've was directed to the manufacturer's site to contact them. I have not received any feedback. The unit worked great for a month. Used the filter that was included. I did the troubleshooting tips, but it literally stopped and has no signs of power. It's a dead unit. I have another one from over a year ago that I love and it's really awesome against cat litter dust in my basement. I installed a VOC filter and it vastly improved my basement and even helped my furnace. So I'm disappointed that this second air purifier died on me because I wanted it for upstairs.

First things first - the product I received was clearly a returned product. Which I have no issue with, however the box was torn apart and haphazardly taped back together. This to me is just lazy on the manufacturer’s part. Now when it comes to the product itself, I am a fan. I got this to help with the odor that comes from my daughters cloth diaper pail. It is plugged in directly next to the pail and it has really helped cut down on odors. This thing is small, so I think for people to expect it to help with odors in an entire room is a little unrealistic. As far as the noise level, it does make a quiet hum, but my daughter sleeps with a white noise machine so that is not an issue for us. I don’t like the lights that are on it. We were able to tape over the front light to help dim it, but the lights on the top are where the air comes back out so we aren’t able to tape over those. Overall, I’m glad I got this and I’m going to keep it. I took off a star for both the condition of the box it came in and the lights.

See photos. On the left is from a replacement set we bought about two years ago. On the right is what we just received. I'm extremely disappointed that the OEM has stooped to this level. The carbon is what absorbs VOC and the one I just received is practically worthless. The pleated filter still seems to be of good quality. But if you can order them separately, do it because it's not like you'll get anything better from GermGuardian themselves.

I wrote an earlier review that I regret I really didn't get into what this unit actually does. This is my third air filter from germ guardian / lasko. The other two or smaller units their air filters had a charcoal wrap on the outside of them. Where this one the charcoal is embedded into the filter and wrapped in a fine mesh, this makes it a lot easier to clean with the charcoal embedded inches of filter you don't have to pull it off and clean the filter as you would in the smaller ones you just vacuum the outside of this filter. The sensor on this machine is very good also on high allergen days I have noticed that the sensor reading on the front display does go up quite a bit also if we are cooking it will go up, it removes the allergens and odors very well I have chronic allergies so therefore even when the meter is reading low I still have to occasionally turn it up on the fan speed to two to help myself. I would highly recommend this unit that's a good company I would say I would get this one versus a small ones just due to the fact the charcoal is actually embedded into the filter and a mix and on the smaller units you have to take the wrap off on the outside and as you do that the charcoal does come apart and it goes into the filter so it's kind of defeating the purpose a little bit where this one is much easier this one does cost a bit more but overall it's easier to maintain.
