We bought 2 of these air purifiers. One for the living room and one for the mud room. After running for about an hour we noticed a big difference in the air quality. Just plug it in and turn the knob to start, push the button for light technology. Very easy to use. Great quality!

I decided to spend $71 (a lot for a filter replacement) for a replacement filter set made for/by GermGuardian. The charcoal filter has half as much charcoal as the original filter and it’s incredibly expensive. I’m very disappointed but am keeping it because it’s probably just how they make them now. Less quality for more cost.

Quiet and effective. I have asthma and a dog who uses a dog door all day long. I like the medium size and design is simple.

I loved it to start with. Top fill is great. The first one I ordered started a loud buzzing not even a week after receiving and no mist would come out. This was replaced. Now I have had the second unit for less than 2 months and it has started doing the same. I am very disappointed. I have another unit of this same brand I use daily in my salon. I have had it over a year and have never had a single issue.

I purchased this humidifier for my bedroom and then a second for my living room. It works really well in smaller spaces (bedroom). The moisture output is really good; I typically go a day on the High warm mist setting without refilling the water reservoir. The essential oil dispenser is pretty amazing too. Pick your favorite scent and your entire house will smell amazing. I highly recommend purchasing the replaceable water filter. It will keep your machine clean and working like new. Definitely recommend this product.

Look at the inside of this humidifier - with these sharp edges and tight nooks it is impossible to clean - IN Particluar the float - which is screwed and snapped together - Mold WILL buid up in here and there is NO WAY to open this to clean it! Nor is there any way to clean the air tube in my first picture. This is simply a poor design.

Germ Guardian has a solid reputation and this unit looks, feels and sounds great right out of the box. A few minutes after powering it on, I expected to give a 5 star review. The only problem is that it doesn't quite seem to filter the air from our evening allergens, nor did it detect VOCs when our bedroom was saturated with scents from a new foam mattress. The same problem occurred when we added spray insulation to our bedroom. The sensor hardly changed, an the smells did not easily dissipate (we had to open the windows and reverse a fan to get the smells out). Meanwhile, two other air purifiers from our office and living room both sensed the VOCs. And one of our purifiers (an expensive name brand) connected to a smart phone app, actually reported the air threat as "serious". The fan is quite enough on the lowest speed, but when the speed ramps up, the noise is too loud for my taste (likely 65db plus). Despite the setback with VOCs and the sensor, I still wake up in the middle of the night with a stuffy nose. I had hoped an air purifier would help.... at least a little bit. For now, I will not replace my bedroom purifier with this one. I will just run them together and hope this one does something... anything?

I bought one for my pet room. It worked great until about a week and a half with it running. It started making a high pitched humming noise. I exchanged it for a new one. It's been working good so far. The only thing is, and small piece of paint came of the front metal.

I DO NOT BELIEVE THEY HAVE A WORKING UNIT. SENT MY FIRST ONE IN THAT DIDN'T WORK. THEY SENT ME ANOTHER PREVIOUSLY OPENED BOX WITH A HAIR IN THE HUMIDIFIER. DISGUSTED BY THIS. BETTER YET... germguardianoutlet.com WAS WORTHLESS HELP. KEEP YOUR MONEY. BUY LOCAL ON THIS.

Guardian Technologies Air Quality Monitor We didn’t even know we needed it. We live 60 miles East of a large smoggy city and when the wind blows from there we see some of their gunk. We can smell it but didn’t really know how bad it was. We plugged this marvelous machine in and have been better informed since. It’s started out by reassuring us that the indoor air was pretty good. It tells us the PM2.5 and VOC. PM2.5 is bad stuff. It’s tiny and can cross from the lungs into the blood and from the blood into the brain. The other important measurement is VOC, volatile organic compounds. They can be anything from paint to air fresheners to pesticides. Like PM2.5, you want it low. The Aria device also lists the indoor temperature and humidity, the time and date. Air quality is great information and our advanced weather station can’t provide it. But they kept adding features. It will connect to the Internet to show the outdoor values so you’ll know if opening a window will help or hurt. It has a great free app. It also connects to Alexa or Google. I can just ask for the air quality without going to the device. We really like this device. Two days after we put it in, the contractors finished up some work in our crawl space. The glue they used stunk very badly. The air quality monitor picked it up quickly and our happy 60ish rating shot past 300. It samples continuously so you get a quick reading. We were able to open a couple of windows and keep an eye on it until we were safe. It’s well made and works better than we’d hoped. I can’t imagine being without it now that we’ve seen it work so well.

I like the product. It is a bit time consuming to clean. The manual really wasn't too helpful. Do I clean the bulb? Or just the inside of the purifier? Plus all those small screws are frustrating for an older person to see.

So far, so good. If anything changes, I will edit this review. EDIT: Just out of curiosity, I measured the output from my light from about a foot away. I hit the screenshot on my phone, and as you can see, when the light is turned to its brightest white setting, the output is 30,000 lux. Nice! (I used SensorLab from the play store to measure.)

I started unscrewing the bottom screws before the top. The top middle used one kind of tool and the outer top used a different kind of tool. Had to search for the right tool to fit the screws for the outer. Once they were removed i realized i didnt need to remove the bottom at all. Then i tried removing the burnt out bulb. I have short and not so skinny fingers and was starting to get frustrated when i couldnt unscrew the bulb and was scraping my hand, so i looked up reviews. There wasnt anything really there except others mentioning a cloth to use (more for protection of the new bulb) but i tried it and worked like a charm. I used it to screw the new one back in and voila! No more orange light! Now i know for next time. Hope this helps someone else out!

The GermGuardian Kids Night Night 4-in-1 Hepa Air Purifier with Projector is an effective - albeit a bit noisy - air filtration system. Our son has miserable allergies, particularly during this California Fall season. To keep his allergies at bay, my kid takes showers before he goes to bed in order to minimize any dander or pollen being transferred to his bedding, we vacuum regularly, he takes allergy medications as needed, and we've placed both a humidifier and an air purifier in his room. We've switched out his Honeywell Compact Tower for the GermGuardian to see how he'd do with the more kid friendly looking unit. The GermGuardian didn't really help with filtering out the allergens as well as his old unit, but did work well for our daughter who has very mild allergies. The unit has a single sided air flow (only come out from the front) and very tiny UV-C light which doesn't seem to serve much function. The UV-C light only covers the bottom 1/4 of the filter, so a majority of the air flow goes through without passing by the light. The purifier does help with scents in the room - when turned on, any scent gets filtered out effectively, and we've noticed that even when cooking scents waft into a room that the scents get effectively filtered out. The unit is very attractive and is slightly larger than a large shoebox. The unit is a nice Robin Egg color, and features a three LED light night light on top with plates that are interchangeable. The plates can feature either stars/moon, ocean creatures, or safari creatures on the ceiling. There are three different light colors to choose from including white, green, blue, or a rotation of all three. For some odd reason, the white LED makes the shapes look very blurry. The blue is also creates shapes that are a bit blurry, but not quite as much as the white LED color. The green is by far the sharpest LED shape - I'm not sure why this is, but it may be because of the positioning of the three different light bulbs. This unit has three filtration speeds ranging from low to high. On the lowest setting the unit is fairly quiet, and the air input is low but effective. When on the highest setting, the noise is loud enough where light sleepers may find the noise distracting. My boy doesn't like the unit being set on high as he complains it's too noisy. Having the fan system is also a bit annoying when using on colder nights. Overall, if you're looking for an air purifier that can effectively reduce scents, looks cute, and functions well as a night light, this a decent unit to consider. If you're looking for something that will help reduce allergens in the room, this unit is not as effective as other systems we've tried. On the upside, the filters are much cheaper than other systems out there, and if you have mild allergies, this unit may work well for you. We're likely going to place this in our daughter's room, and put our son's old purifier back in his room. While this didn't work for him, our daughter thought it was awesome, and it seems to work well for her.

I honestly love everything about this ultrasonic humidifier. We purchased this unit for our large bedroom. It sits near our bed which is at the far end of the room. I suffer from allergies and humidity definitely helps during the winter months. The attached photo shows the lowest output setting which we use during the day. We use medium or high during sleeping hours. PLEASE NOTE: we sit our unit on a cookie sheet to catch splashes when we refill it. The unit is leak free in every respect. We especially enjoy the night light feature which is optional.
