   I love the option to be able to turn on and off the light as well as increase the flow of humidity and the warm mist option. It is completely silent even when it’s at the highest output. It is pretty easy to clean but I also add a little bit of hydrogen peroxide to my water to decrease the possibility of any mold growing inside. I also have had to use a butter knife to scrape off some of the white dust from hard water buildup. We’ve been running ours almost daily for the last couple of years and it has been great! My only complaint is that the wafer for the essential oils was in a different location so you could actually smell it coming through the water.

   This seems to put out a lot of mist, but doesn’t put any moisture in the room. It works like a diffuser instead of a humidifier. But, the place you can put essential oil doesn’t work like my diffuser-at all. The worst part is the white powder it leaves everywhere in the house. I really didn’t believe the reviews that it could be that bad. It is! I use it in my bedroom, and all the surfaces in the house, a 3 bedroom ranch, have a fine layer of white dust. So, I purchased a filter for $11.77 (which includes subscribe and save.) because the site said if I had a problem, the filter would help. Doesn’t help one bit. I have mild COPD and inhaling this powder can’t be good for me. It’s too late to send it back. I’m updating because nothing I do can stop this from creating the white dust. Besides the filter I purchased separately, I bought the the aqua sticks for $9.99. Didn’t help one bit. When I used the distilled water it helped some, but that would cost another $2.00 a day more. This is no help whatsoever. So, this goes in the trash. I won’t even sell it in a garage sale. I attached a picture I took the day after I dusted the house.

   It really cranks out the mist! The warm mist isn’t that warm though (80⁰), but that means it’s safer around children & pets. Plus it is VERY quiet. The 4/8/12 hr timer is optional, so you can run it continuously. I like that the blue tank light can be turned off, but the button lights do stay on. I used my refrigerator filtered water (had to fill another container up to fill it). The only downside I see is that it isn’t a top fill tank, and can be pretty heavy if you’re elderly or sick (think how heavy 2 gallons of milk on one arm can be when you’re exhausted). It does have a good handle on the top & the bottom to help though. But other than that, I’m thrilled with it. I’m used to having to refill the tanks of cheaper ones every 4 to 6 hours. This thing lasts DAYS, depending on if you have it on high, med, or low. Plus there’s a 10% off coupon right now for it.

   I don’t give 5 stars regularly and will update this when I have more time with the humidifier. For the last 25yrs I’ve been looking for THIS! There is HUGE mist (more than mist) is amazing! I can even change direction of the spray! I HAVE not woken once with dry eye and my eyelashes are thanking me daily! So that was cool mist…:I’ve used warm mist once because I was “stuffy” and woke clear. If this continues for a week I’m buying at least one more if not two!

   I owned 3 of these in the past, 1 died and I went online to find them. germguardianoutlet.com had a renewed one on sale for 25% of the price I paid originally, so figured I’d buy 2. Both units are not renewed. They are used. One of them missing the lid. Didn’t even bother plugging them in. The price was too good to be true. Not happy

   This is a nice quiet unit but they don’t tell you that because it is an ultrasonic and not an evaporative humidifier that it reacts with your gas stove flame. If you buy the filter (not included), it fixes the problem. We thought we had a problem with our gas stove as the flames on all the burners turned pink/orange. After calling our gas company, they asked if we recently started using a humidifier, which we did. This type of humidifier releases small mineral particles into the air from the water, which causes the flames to be the less efficient pink/orange rather than the normal blue flame. It is not dangerous but it is less efficient similar to when a pot boils over and the water hits the flame. One YouTube video poster said to use either distilled water (demineralized) or buy the filter. I opted for the filter and within hours, problem solved. This is something that should be noted in the description and instructions so people don’t spend a lot of money on a gas company service call. Other than that it works great on both warm and cool mist.

    Holds 2 gallons of water, but the output isn’t great. Running for 24 hours, it still has water in the tank. My smaller Honeywell goes through a gallon in less than 9 hours! Not very efficient!! 😢

    I purchased this humidifier for my bedroom and then a second for my living room. It works really well in smaller spaces (bedroom). The moisture output is really good; I typically go a day on the High warm mist setting without refilling the water reservoir. The essential oil dispenser is pretty amazing too. Pick your favorite scent and your entire house will smell amazing. I highly recommend purchasing the replaceable water filter. It will keep your machine clean and working like new. Definitely recommend this product.

    Let me start with : I have a terrible cold. My husband gave me HIS cold. We bought this humidifier thinking that it would make us feel and breathe better. Wintertime is awful stuck inside your home because of heavy snow outside. This product is sitting in our living room and works beautifully!!! WE CAN BREATHE a lot better . It’s easy to read for directions and it has 3 settings for release of humidity from it. We have it on number 2 which is enough for our tiny living room. It is not small and holds a lot of water. We use distilled water in it. My plants inside are even healthier. You won’t be sorry by ordering this product. It WORKS and there is no noise at all from it. Thanks for making this product.

    I liked it at first but now after 2 months of use, it leaks horribly. Don’t get this model! I had it on a silicone mat but it leaks too much for that. I have to use a large broiler pan to hold the water that comes out of the bottom.
