   Works good. We shall see how easy it is to clean and how long it lasts. I could do without the bright blue water level light because I prefer a dark room. I put a rolled up sock in front of it. I’d also like to see some lines or numbers around the variable mist control knob as I can’t recall where I had it set on previously. Otherwise fine.

   I had bought the two gallon model of this unit and run it 10 months of the year, 24/7. I loved it.

   It did finally die. It probably was an easy fix, but I gave it to someone with more skills in that area and bought this small, but newer model.

   It’s great. Top fill. Shoots out lots of mist. It’s 1.5 gallons so running on high, it goes for about 12 hours. Auto shut off. Easy clean. This model has a sliding knob to adjust level of moisture, which is nice and easy to use. It has a nice blue nightlight that glows up the tank that is on and off via a push button. I clean mine once a week with a baby face cloth and use the provided mini brush for the hard to reach spots.

   Tip: Make sure when you’re filling to not get water down the mist tube. Or tip it when it’s full getting water in there. That’s why you get those horrible noises from the machine.

   Seven months in, and I use this product everyday with total satisfaction. It has become a habit to refill the tank – and because it has a manual control (best) I can switch it on with an attached remote wifi plug and it turns it on remotely, sending out mist bursts before I get home – so I always get into a fresh and comfy room. How long will it last? That, I don’t know yet. But I think I’d buy it again. Learning to remove and clean the parts thoroughly and regularly is also fun.

   The humidifier was great …. FOR THE FIRST 2 DAYS IT WORKED. Bought it because of its tank capacity. Need a humidifier during the winter months for my small bedroom. My old humidifier had a small tank that had to be refilled each day (only run it at night while sleeping). Thought this one would be more convenient. Well, it would have been, but on the third night, turned it on and no mist coming out. Could hear it running, but nothing coming out of the misting tube. Emptied it, refilled it and tried again …. nothing. Brought out my old, small humidifier (a Safety 1st unit now 4 years old) and it still works like a champ. Not even worth sending this Pure Guardian back to germguardianoutlet.com or to Pure Guardian for repair under the 3-year warranty. Completely disappointed.

   Bought this a while ago to increase humidity for my house plants. At first it worked fine: low noise level, huge mist. After months of use the noise level has increased so much it’s hard to sleep with the humidifier on. Cleaning it is also a hassle due to the design of the inner mechanics; it’s not impossible to clean but the design is poor.

   pros. The light turns off, it’s relatively quiet, top fill is really nice and easy, no filters, relatively easy to clean.
   cons. we have 3 and the mist is inconsistent, sometimes full on is small amount of mist, easily turned by cats or people walking by as it’s a free turning knob, one only lasted just over a year so expensive if you need to keep replacing. Gets noisier the longer you have the product. The other 2 we bought also only lasted just under 2 years. One, the knob just stopped working, the other got super hot and stopped working.
   No, I would not recommend.

   Look at the inside of this humidifier – with these sharp edges and tight nooks it is impossible to clean – IN Particluar the float – which is screwed and snapped together – Mold WILL buid up in here and there is NO WAY to open this to clean it! Nor is there any way to clean the air tube in my first picture. This is simply a poor design.

    I loved it to start with. Top fill is great. The first one I ordered started a loud buzzing not even a week after receiving and no mist would come out. This was replaced. Now I have had the second unit for less than 2 months and it has started doing the same. I am very disappointed. I have another unit of this same brand I use daily in my salon. I have had it over a year and have never had a single issue.

    I ordered this on a Black Friday deal and have had it running every day solid ever since it arrived. I keep it at the bar in our kitchen, so our kiddos are near it at least every morning and evening. They are sure to be keeping their airways moist and not so dried out in our winter season. Our community has been hit with a higher incidence of Influenza A, pneumonia, and other respiratory viruses this season and thus far, we’ve been able to stay healthy! The only thing that has even needed cleaning on it is the opening of the lid through which the mist is sprayed and the accompanying cleaning brush makes that a breeze. Maybe that has been my experience, because I religiously use the water from our refrigerator that is filtered. Given the unit is treated with silver I didn’t want to put tap water in it. I’ve noticed other people have not liked the light, because it is hard for them to sleep with the light. Honestly, there is a button on it that allows it to be turned off, if preferred. Sometimes those instruction manuals are worth the read. 😉 I HIGHLY recommend this humidifier.

    The apartment I live in is very dry and I used to wake me up. Since I got this one, things are so much better. According to the internet the humidity should be between 40 and 50 percent. I have a weather station that reads humidity, before getting this humidity was only seventeen percent now I keep it about 50 percent. and can increase or decrease as needed by adjusting the output. This is a lifesaver. UPDATE; I have learned that if the humidity outside high you can turn down the amount of output, and the opposite if the humidity is low. UPDATE 2: I pulled my two humidifiers out of storage for the winter, the one in the pic was making a awful noise and not sending out any mist, so thinking it might mean that I need to replace it. Here’s the thing, since I thought it was failing I looked for a replacement, but then thought I would add some vinegar to to see if it would help, because you can use it to clean a coffee pot, it worked! Being not overly rich I sometimes try a fix if it seems that the product is on it’s way out. By the way, I used about 1/4 cup of white vinegar when I filled the tank . New update: Took my own advice, and this time took the humidifier out of storage and completely cleaned it before storing it. I filled them I have two they were working fine until today, I got these in 2018 and forgot my own advice, so after filling I added vinegar and started them again, they came back to life again. w

    I keep this on low until it runs out of water. Can usually get about a week straight without having to refill. Comes with a little brush for cleaning – some spots are a little more difficult to get to but definitely nicer than some other machines. Not like the other ones with the detachable jug to fill up, you just pour water in the top which is a lot nicer than juggling a huge heavy container around. It is a pain having to get smaller pitchers to fill it up though because it holds so much water but would prefer that to filling up daily. Relatively quiet, more so just a bit of white noise. Also, the dual mist adjustment makes it super easy to change the direction of the mist to get the whole room, not just one spot.
