The unit comes in two different models both units work fine except the manual dial unit has three speeds Vs the digital display unit has five fan speeds. The fans speeds on both models are not quite except for the lowest speed setting.

I’ve owned a few air filters and am currently running one in an upstairs bedroom. I’d been thinking about getting another one and knew what I wanted and didn’t want in an air filter. I didn’t want a tall, towering one nor something like the boxy Venta, an air washer / filter. I don’t need something that will add moisture to the air, but rather a unit that will remove impurities from the air. This Guardian was exactly what I was thinking of. It has everything I wanted in an air purifier, plus some. When I unpacked it, there was very little to do save remove a bit of plastic from the wall plug. The filter was already installed, but I removed it to see how easy it will be to change it. It won’t be at all difficult, a task that will have to be done every few months. It does have a HEPA filter as well as a pre / charcoal filter, which is standard. I found that these do fill up with a lot of dust and dirt. They not only get impurities out of the air, but dust, dander and pollen. There’s a timer I can use that can be easily set from one to eight hours. I tend to leave my other air purifier running 24 /7. There are five speed settings I can select from. When I on the highest, I found the unit to be a little loud. It will have to be turned down or off in order to sleep. There’s no sleep mode with this unit. Changing the filter, which should be done every six to eight months, is dependent on the environment of one’s household. There’s also a UV bulb that will eventually need replacement approximately once a year. The cost, I’ve discovered, is not in the unit, but rather the replacement of the filters. I expected to find the same with this air purifier. Comparatively, the cost is excellent at under $110. A very good air purifier that’s worth investing in.

I have purchased multiples of these. The new ones are electronic so no dials. Press on button and you can set a time on it. So, if I cook with grease (deep fry) I set this to 2 hours and it shuts itself off after that. I have a furnace vent under my window and, especially with dogs, my blinds would get dusty. I put a filter in front of that vent and that dust on blinds hasn’t come back. I do have an older one in my den (1 out of 6) that is a bit louder and has an odd sound to it. But they all seem to work well for me.

Wh have used this Air Purifier in our bedroom for a little over a month now and have been happy with the results. It is not super quiet, even on the lowest setting, but so far, it has not bothered my sleep. I was hoping that it came with a remote control and I have to keep a small cover over the top at night to eliminate the blue light shining.

I’ve was directed to the manufacturer’s site to contact them. I have not received any feedback. The unit worked great for a month. Used the filter that was included. I did the troubleshooting tips, but it literally stopped and has no signs of power. It’s a dead unit. I have another one from over a year ago that I love and it’s really awesome against cat litter dust in my basement. I installed a VOC filter and it vastly improved my basement and even helped my furnace. So I’m disappointed that this second air purifier died on me because I wanted it for upstairs.
