    This is my 4th purchase of a Germ Guardian Air Filter. This one does not have the blue sanitizer light but it’s still a great little cleaner. We have 2 cats and a hound dog. Both my husband and I are technically allergic to cats and dogs but with 4 of these running in various places in our home we have been able to live comfortably with pets. I also used to need a daily inhaler to control my asthma and now that we run these 24/7 I have found that I am needing my inhaler less and my doctor is considering just prescribing me rescue inhalers. I can’t believe how much our air quality and breathing has improved with these! I have the filters on auto-ship with germguardianoutlet.com. If you clean the pre-filter regularly, the main filter should last about 6 months.

    I have been using this purifier for couple of years and it does great job .the only thing is buying the filters and they change the filters to a different brand .I like the other version of the filters better but these will have to do .but other wise this purifier is great does get the air smell all that and dust .like the ultraviolet light helps alot .very quiet. Will continue to use this brand as long as it. Lasts. This was my second one .bought a bigger one for the living-room. Recommend this purifier and brand make sure you have it with the ultraviolet light helps with viruses.

    It seems to last only 2 years then it dies . Parts are hard to get light the bulb and no where online can I fine them or why it dies. I change the filter as needed.

    It came in a taped together box that was open on the top and the metal grid was dented. I didn’t think much of it, as it still worked, but only 2 months after use the metal grid has began rusting. Not a high quality product.

    This works well, but it is rather noisy on higher levels and also it’s expensive to change the filters which do not last very long!
    Unless you don’t have room, you’re better off getting a larger unit.

    As you can see in the photos, the UV is utterly useless. It is contained in a compartment above the intake filter and uv rays AR blocked from cleansing that filter. Complete garbage. As far as the rest of the product goes, it does have a nice tight seal between the main unit and the filter, which means that it is actually drawing air through the filter as opposed to around it. Mine just died out of the blue so I took it apart and found that the fuse was popped. It’s soldered to the board and therefor not replaceable by the average person. I would say that given what I know now, I won’t be buying another unless the price drops drastically.
