I have one other automatic soap and sanitizer dispenser and thought adding another one would be nice. The Guardian is a solid plastic one with a good dip tube that goes down to the bottom of the bottle. It’s a flexible silicone tube that’s wide enough to hold plenty of soap or sanitizer. It takes four AA batteries, which aren’t included.
The capacity of the bottle is good and will hold 500 ml (16.9 ounces). I opened up the battery compartment and added four batteries, which I took out of their plastic wrapping. I then filled the bottle with my hand sanitizer of choice. The unit didn’t power on so I removed the batteries and put in new Duracells. Unfortunately, it still didn’t work.
The GermGuardian was manufactured in China. It does have a one-year limited warranty.

I own two simplehuman automatic hand soap dispensers but the capacity is too small and I find myself refilling very often. So I got the GermGuardian for its large 500mL capacity. While the capacity is twice as big, the technology is definitely lacking. The GermGuardian uses 4 AA batteries (not included). In order to access the battery compartment, I must unscrew the lid and put the lid upside down. This could be messy if there’s any soap residue on the tube. The battery compartment cover is a bit difficult to pry open, I had to use a scissor to help. It’s pretty simple to use. There’s a touch sensitive button on the top, long press to turn on/off, quick 2 presses to change between thinner soap to thicker soap dispensing. No way to adjust how much soap it will dispense though. Since I usually like to use thicker soaps, it recommends the high volume dispensing mode. I find the high volume dispensing mode dispensing a bit too much soap for my liking so I ended up using the low volume dispensing (that’s recommend for thinner soaps). The sensor works quickly but with thicker soaps, it takes a little while for it to finish dripping. I like the clear bottle because I know exactly when it needs to be refilled. However, the bottle opening is very small, therefore, making it difficult to refill the bottle. This hands free soap dispenser is useful, especially for times like this. It’s good but not great. Decent value at the current listed price of $28.14.

Even with new batteries this thing does not work! I had it not even a good month and it doesnt work anymore and whats worse is I cant even get a refund as the window to return is closed. Waist of my money.

I put new batteries on it, and it worked fine the first few days, afterwards I guess the sucking power wasn’t enough and nothing was coming out when hovering my hand to the sensor, and also when turned on the blue light on top was red, so I don’t know if an issue with the dispenser or it is draining the battery very quickly.
